Removed the following text:

The TFTP server used for storage of XR 12000 and CRS-1 PM data must meet the following requirements:

1. Files copied to the TFTP server for CRS-1 and XR 12000 PM purposes will contain a time stamp as part of the filename, which makes them unique. For this reason the TFTP server used must support creation of files as data is transferred, without requiring users to manually create a file of the same name at the TFTP server host in advance. Many TFTP servers prevent this by default.

2. The CTM server installation CD includes a TFTP server that must be enabled during installation. This TFTP server meets the requirements for CRS-1 and XR 12000 performance management when installed on a Solaris server. This Cisco-supplied TFTP server on Solaris is the only TFTP server that is supported for use with CTM. TFTP servers running on other platforms might not work correctly.

Replaced with the following text:

Cisco recommends the use of the TFTP server supplied with Solaris 2.8 for storage of XR 12000 and CRS-1 PM data. Other TFTP servers may work, but have not been tested and are not officially supported.

Some TFTP servers prevent this by default, but the Solaris TFTP server supports this capability.

2.6.2  Selectable Collection of PM Data Parameters, page 2-16

Updated the definitions for Save As Default and Revert to Default methods. Added the following text to each description: (map background, node icons, and x and y coordinates).

3.7.5  Saving Changes to the Network Map, page 3-51

Updated the definitions for Save As Default and Revert to Default methods. Added the following text to each description (map background, node icons, and x and y coordinates).

A.2.1  File Menu, in Table A-4.

Changed the description of the NetworkAdmin user profile to: Typically, NOC supervisors who perform daily network NE operations. These operations do not include changing NE username and password in the NE Authentication tab.

8.3.3  User Privilege Profiles, page 8-5

August 31, 2006

Changed the input parameter for database pruning from Number of days (1-31) to Number of days (1-1000).

Table 4-2 and Table 4-3

Changed the file location of create_user.sql from cdrom/cdrom0/ctms/create_user.sql to opt/CiscoTransportManagerServer/bin/create_user.sql.

4.2.4  Restoring the CTM Database from the Previous Backup, page 4-6

March 14, 2007

Enhanced the definition of the CTM GateWay/TL1 Poll Frequency parameter. The poll cycle ensures that TL1 connectivity to the managed nodes works correctly. A failure in the polling for a given node implies that all of the commands directed to that node receive a "Gateway Not Ready" error code. This condition persists until the first successful polling cycle on that NE.

12.2.2.2  Using the GateWay/TL1 Service Pane, page 12-14

June 15, 2007

In the procedure to restore the CTM database from the previous backup, removed the step to insert the CTM Server Disk 1 installation CD.

4.2.4  Restoring the CTM Database from the Previous Backup, page 4-6

March 24, 2008

Added two rows to Table 4-13 on page 44 for CTMServer.perm and NotificationService.xml.

4.4.2  Updating the Configuration Files After Changing the CTM Server IP Address, page 4-44

May 27, 2008

Corrected the keystroke sequence for mnemonics (Alt plus letter).

1.6.12  Using Mnemonics, page 1-44

July 29, 2008

Added the following note:

Check the Audit Log to confirm that the selected NE has been successfully deleted from the database. The deletion is not complete until the following message is displayed in the Audit Log: AUD-5015 <NE ID> has been successfully purged. See "8.5.1  Viewing the Audit Log" section on page 71 for information on how to view the Audit Log.

3.5.7.1  Deleting a Single NE, page 3-25

Added the following note:

Check the Audit Log to confirm that the selected NEs have been successfully deleted from the database. The deletion is not complete until the following message is displayed in the Audit Log: AUD-5015 <NE ID> has been successfully purged. See "8.5.1  Viewing the Audit Log" section on page 71 for information on how to view the Audit Log.

3.5.7.2  Deleting Multiple NEs, page 3-26
