This appendix describes the error messages that you may encounter while working with Cisco ANA NSA. Table A-1 lists Cisco ANA NSA error messages that might be displayed. Troubleshooting metadata files must be performed by an administrator.

Metadata for [activation service] is corrupted
This message can occur when you select a service and proceed further in the Activation wizard.
The message indicates the metadata file shown in the popup is syntactically incorrect.
Find and fix the error in the metadata file shown in the error and upload it back to the server.
Dialog only:
Metadata for [activation service] is corrupted
This message can occur when you click the Open Activation button.
An exception was encountered while retrieving the Pages or Activation metadata files for the service mentioned in the popup, for example, the metadata for a service does not exist on the server or has errors.
Verify that the corresponding metadata files exist and are properly defined.
Upload Failed
The metadata file being uploaded using SMU has syntactic or semantic errors.
Find and fix the error in the metadata file shown in the error and upload it back to the server.
You do not have sufficient permission to run Activation Wizard Builder
This message can occur when your user level privilege is Operator Plus or lower and you try to run the Cisco Activation Workflow Builder (Cisco AWB).
Contact your administrator for user level privilege to perform Cisco AWB tasks.
