Optional H.248 Ginfo Package
The ginfo feature package is no longer a required part of the H.248 profile of the data border element (DBE). However, the DBE still supports ginfo package properties as optional. It also supplies default values if you do not specify any when configuring the package. Configuration of ginfo features on the DBE is not mandatory.

Restrictions for the Optional H.248 Ginfo Package
•
If you omit one of the ginfo properties when you add a termination, you cannot later specify a value for that property with a later request for that termination. (For more information about defaults, see Information About Optional H.248 Ginfo Package.)
If you do, it results in the following error message: Megaco error 421 - Unknown action or illegal combination of actions.
•
DBE rejects add requests if you explicitly specify ginfo on one termination, but not on the other.

bill_corr

Value appears in the DBE logs related to the termination and context.

gate_state
|
COMMITTED
|
Termination is maintained at all times after system failover and H.248 association loss, as long as you added the termination. This is because changes made to committed gates are replicated to the redundant card immediately.
For this reason, omission of this property creates minor performance overhead on redundant systems.
|
gate_side
|
• SIDE_A
• SIDE_B
|
• Applies to the first termination only.
• Applies to the second termination in a stream.
Note The side value appears in DBE logs.
|
If you omit the gate_side property for one termination, you must also omit it on the other termination in the stream. Otherwise, you receive the following Megaco error:
Error 421 - Unknown action or illegal combination of actions.
