This chapter describes the commands used to debug MPLS Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) on Cisco IOS XR software.

debug l2vpn ac

To display debugging information about an L2VPN attachement circuit or component, use the debug l2vpn ac command in EXEC mode. To disable debugging, use the no form of the command.

debug l2vpn ac [api | fsm | manager | table | transport] [location node-id]

no debug l2vpn ac [api | fsm | manager | table | transport] [location node-id]

Syntax Description

api

Displays information about the L2VPN attachment circuit API.

fsm

Displays information about the L2VPN attachment circuit finite state machine.

manager

Displays information about the L2VPN attachment circuit manager.

table

Displays information about the L2VPN attachment circuit table.

transport

Displays information about the L2VPN attachment circuit transport.

location node-id

(Optional) Displays debug information for a specified location. The node-id argument is entered in the rack/slot/module notation.


Defaults

When no additional parameters are specified, this command displays all types of attachement circuit (or component) messages for the user's current location

interface

Enter to select an interface type.

type

Interface type. For more information, use the question mark (?) online help function.

instance

Either a physical interface instance or a virtual interface instance as follows:

Physical interface instance. Naming notation is rack/slot/module/port and a slash between values is required as part of the notation.

rack: Chassis number of the rack.

slot: Physical slot number of the modular services card or line card.

module: Module number. A physical layer interface module (PLIM) is always 0.

port: Physical port number of the interface.

Note In references to a Management Ethernet interface located on a route processor card, the physical slot number is alphanumeric (RP0 or RP1) and the module is CPU0.
Example: interface MgmtEth0/RP1/CPU0/0.

Virtual interface instance. Number range varies depending on interface type.

peer ip address

Specifies an L2VPN filter peer IP address.

session session-id

Specifies an L2VPN filter session ID. Range is 1 to 1023.

Displays information about init.

netio

Displays information about Netio.

packet

To display debugging information about the L2VPN stable snap shot (SSS), use the debug l2vpn sss command in EXEC mode. To disable debugging, use the no form of this command.

debug l2vpn sss [fsm | sip] [location node-id]

Syntax Description

fsm

Displays information about L2VPN finite state machine (FSM).

sip

Displays information about L2VPN Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), an application-layer control signaling protocol.

location node-id

(Optional) Displays debug information for a specified location. The node-id argument is entered in the rack/slot/module notation.

When no additional parameters are specified, this command displays messages for the user's current location
