ATM Debug Commands on Cisco IOS XR Software


This module describes the commands that provide useful information for debugging the ATM component on a router running Cisco IOS XR software.

debug atm errors

To turn on debugging messages for ATM errors, use the debug atm errors command in EXEC mode. To disable debugging, use the no form of this command.

debug atm errors [interface atm instance | location node-id]

no debug atm errors [interface atm instance | location node-id]

Syntax Description

interface atm instance

(Optional) Physical interface instance on which to turn on debugging messages for ATM errors. Naming notation is rack/slot/module/port, and a slash between values is required as part of the notation.

rack—Chassis number of the rack.

slot—Physical slot number of the card.

module—Module number. A physical layer interface module (PLIM) is always 0.

port—Physical port number of the interface.

location node-id

(Optional) Specifies a node on which to turn on all debugging messages for ATM errors.


Defaults

Enter the debug atm errors command without including any of the optional syntax to turn on debugging messages for all ATM interfaces configured on the router.

Usage Guidelines

To use this command, you must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes the proper task IDs. For detailed information about user groups and task IDs, see the Configuring AAA Services on Cisco IOS XR Software module of the Cisco IOS XR System Security Configuration Guide.
