FAULT_MGR Messages

Error Message     

%LC-FAULT_MGR-3-INIT_ERROR Process Initialization Failed: ([chars]%s)

Explanation    The fault-mgr process failed to initialize. This process controls all ASIC resets on all LC's for either internal ASIC problems or larger system issues (ie, fabric control). %s - indicates the reason for the failure. There are 3 types of possible failures, these include: - Checkpointing initialization/creation/restore - Server initialization - Client initialization %s - is the decoded error reason

Recommended Action    The System Manager process (sysmgr) will automatically respawn this process, up to a fixed number of times when this error is encountered, to recover. Execute 'show process fault_mgr location 0/x/cpu0' to verify that the process is up and running. If it is still non-operational, try doing 'process restart fault_mgr location 0/x/cpu0' If the message recurs, copy the error message exactly as it appears on the console or in the system log, call your Cisco technical support representative and provide the representative with the gathered information.
