CISCO-CONFIG-COPY-MIB FTP and rcp Implementation
CISCO-CONFIG-COPY-MIB FTP and rcp Implementation
This feature implements SNMP file transfers between a Cisco router and a server that both support FTP and rcp. CISCO-CONFIG-COPY-MIB is platform-independent and provides objects to allow the copy functionality. For example, there are objects that provide the status of a copy operation and the reason for failure, if any.
This feature provides network management software with the ability to copy running and startup configuration files from a Cisco router that supports FTP and rcp.
Use the SNMP Object Navigator tool in the Cisco MIB Locator at this web location, http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/MIBS/servlet/index, to display the CISCO-CONFIG-COPY-MIB objects.
How to Configure FTP and rcp MIB Support
No configuration tasks are required for the feature; FTP and rcp support is built into the CISCO-CONFIG-COPY-MIB.
Configuration Examples for FTP and rcp MIB Support
The following example shows how to use the SNMP setany command to copy a file from a server at IP address 10.9.3.16 to a router at address 10.1.0.1 using CISCO-CONFIG-COPY-MIB objects:
csipl-snmp:45>setany -v2c 10.9.3.16 private ccCopyEntryRowStatus.1 -i 6 ccCopyEntryRowStatus.1 = destroy(6)csipl-snmp:46>setany -v2c 10.9.3.16 private ccCopyProtocol.1 -i 4 ccCopySourceFileType.1 -i 4 ccCopyDestFileType.1 -i 1 ccCopyServerAddress.1 -a 10.1.0.1 ccCopyFileName.1 -o ios316-confg ccCopyUserName.1 -o User1 ccCopyUserPassword.1 -o ccCopyEntryRowStatus.1 -i 4Additional References
