This section describes the new protocol support and resolved and open issues pertaining to Cisco SCA BB Release 3.8.5:
•Resolved Caveats, Release 3.8.5
New Features
The following features are introduced in Release 3.8.5:
•Subscriber Manager GUI is enhanced to support IPv6 subscribers.
•Advanced Service Configuration is enhanced for IPv6 traffic. A new option is added for UDP ports for which flows should be opened on the first IPv6 packet.
Protocol Support
Protocol Pack #31 is included in Cisco SCA BB Release 3.8.5.

Resolved Caveats, Release 3.8.5
This section describes the resolved caveats in Cisco SCA BB Release 3.8.5.

Using the Cisco SCA BB Subscriber Manager graphic user interface (GUI) may result in incorrect package IDs. Using the GUI to select a package ID causes the subscriber to default to the package ID 1.
This issue is resolved.

Cisco SCA BB GUI does not allow spaces while creating HTTP user agent flavors.
This issue is resolved.

Setting the real-time monitor flag using the Cisco SCA BB console resulted in deletion of VLAN mappings associated to the subscriber.

New Features
The following features are introduced in Release 3.8.0:
•Anonymous Group GUI IPv6 Enhancement
The SCA BB Anonymous Group Manager GUI is enhanced to support IPv6 subscribers from the Cisco Service Control Engine (SCE).
Specific IPv6 enhancements for the Anonymous Group GUI are:
–Adding and deleting IPv6 Anonymous Groups
–Viewing and editing IPv6 anonymous subscribers under Groups
–Importing and exporting IPv6 Anonymous Groups
–Exporting IPv6 Anonymous Subscribers
•Zones Setting Dialog Improvement
The Cisco SCA BB zone settings dialog is enhanced to support IPv6 zone elements.
•ServConf API Enhancement
An API is introduced in the ServConf API. The new API improves the interaction of Cisco SCA BB and the Cisco SCA BB protocol packs.

Protocol Pack #30 is included in Cisco SCA BB Release 3.8.0.

Resolved Caveats, Release 3.8.0
This section describes the resolved caveats in Cisco SCA BB Release 3.8.0.

In the Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS), when the Virtual Link Manager (VLM) in the vlink.cfg file of the Cisco Subscriber Manger is enabled, all the virtual links in the CMTS do not get provisioned from the Cisco Subscriber Manager to the Cisco SCE.
This issue is resolved.

After enabling the virtual link mode, when a virtual link was created manually using the virtual-links index <index> name <name> direction [upstream | downstream] command, and a policy is applied from Cisco SCA BB with the Keep Virtual Link rate limits unchanged button selected, the policy did not get applied and some of the virtual links were getting deleted.
This issue is resolved.
Open Caveats, Release 3.8.0
This section describes the open caveats in Cisco SCA BB Release 3.8.0.

Using the Cisco SCA BB Subscriber Manager graphic user interface (GUI) may result in incorrect package IDs. Using the GUI to select a package ID causes the subscriber to default to the package ID 1.

Use the Cisco Subscriber Manager command-line utility (CLU) instead of the GUI.
