Admininstrative User Accounts Overview
The APADC is managed by APADC Admin Users. However, to allow the APADC admin user to connect to NME-APA devices and to apply configuration changes to the devices, you must create a mapping between the admin user and a user on the device to which the admin user can connect.
If you do not create a mapping between the APADC admin user and the NME-APA device user, the APADC admin user cannot connect to the NME-APA device.
Figure 6-1 illustrates the mappings that must be created between APADC admin users and NME-APA device users.
Figure 6-1 APADC Admin User Mapping
To create device users, admin users, and admin user mappings, perform the following steps:
•
Create a device user. See Adding Device Users, page 2-20.
•
Create an admin user. See Adding Administrative User Accounts. When creating the admin user you can also map the admin user to the device user.
•
If you did not create the mapping when you created the admin user, add the device credentials for the admin user. See Adding Device Credentials for an Administrative User.
