Document Objective

This document describes all cable-specific system, error, and other informational messages generated by the Cisco IOS CMTS universal broadband routers in Cisco IOS 12.3(23)BC, 12.3(21)BC, and 12.2(33)SC software releases. This does not mean that all CMTS platforms are supported in a given IOS software release.

This book is intended for system administrators and operators who configure and maintain the following series of cable CMTS universal broadband routers:

This system messages guide is organized into the following chapters:

Chapter Title	Description
Chapter 1, "Overview of System Messages."	Provides an overview of the components of system messages.
Chapter 2, "Cisco CMTS Router System Messages."	Provides information about all CMTS generic system messages for the Cisco uBR7100 series, Cisco uBR7200 series, and Cisco uBR10012 routers.
Chapter 3, "Cisco uBR10012 Router Error Messages."	Provides information about system and error messages that are unique to the Cisco uBR10012 router.
