CCNP V3 Proficiency Deadlines:

The deadline for demonstrating proficiency in CCNP 3.0 curriculum is December 31, 2005.
If you have not demonstrated proficiency by this deadline, you will no longer be able to create CCNP classes in Academy Connection.

Demonstrating Proficiency for the new CCNP curriculum signifies that an instructor has shown that he/she has the technical knowledge and skills covered in the new CCNP curriculum content. It does not imply that instructors need any additional training. Instructors only need to exhibit their knowledge by either holding current certifications or by passing the Bridge online final exam and skills-based exam for each course that they plan to teach.

For more detailed information, go to Opportunities for Demonstrating Proficiency - CCNP

For English versions 3.0 and 3.1 of CCNA:

  • Instructors, who haven’t proven proficiency in the CCNA v3.x content, began receiving Email September 1, 2004. At that time, instructors may have begun to contact their support academy to either sign up for training or put together a plan.
  • Support academies are working with individual instructors to track and plan their proficiency using the online quality tool and the tracking spreadsheet (if necessary). CATCs can receive this information from their Regionals to stay up to date.
  • December 31, 2004 was the deadline to either prove proficiency by completing Bridge classes OR to have a plan in place via the online Quality tool, with a plan to complete the requirements by July 30, 2005. If the plan is not completed by July 30, 2005, the instructor’s access to the Academy Connection system will be suspended.
  • CATC and Regional academies are managing the online plan for academies in their tree. CATCs can contact their AAM or TM for guidance.
  • If you don’t plan to teach the curriculum in the future. There is a option that allows the system to quickly remove an instructor’s access to the system.  This will eliminate the reminder email and will not require the support academy to monitor a plan for the instructor. If this applies to you contact your support academy.

For all other languages of CCNA 3.1 curriculum:

No formal announcement has been made concerning all other language version of the Bridge courses. The process will be similar to English curriculum.

All translated curricula will have bridge courses available by mid February. There won’t be a bridge course for Arabic or Polish since we didn’t have a CCNA v2.x for these languages.

November 30, 2005 is the deadline to either prove proficiency by completing Bridge classes OR to have a plan in place via the online Quality tool, with a plan to complete the requirements by February 28, 2006.
