Software Engineer

Hardware Engineer

Test Engineer

Help install and maintain test equipment; write, document and maintain test software and procedures; provide software and hardware technical support to customer support groups; design engineering, manufacturing, customer sites, and production in support of failure analysis and linestop resolution; design and/or generate specification and prototype custom test equipment per product test and repair requirements; document and manage additional equipment builds. I.T. Analyst

Become a member of a team that supports a functional organization within the Information Systems division. Assignments will grow in complexity and risk as you learn more about the applications, user processes and develop your technical skills. Initially, you will spend time learning the intricacies of the business and applications. Projects are oriented toward improved productivity, better business controls and supporting the manufacturing strategic direction. The main business application are Oracle based applications in a Unix client/server environment. We have many bolt-on applications adding functionality. Unix Systems Administrator

Requires Unix Systems Administration experience (0 - 2 years) in at least one of the following Unix: Sun or HP. Experience must be concurrent and include basic working knowledge of Unix, sendmail, printing, DNS, network configuration on local hosts, NFS, plus shell programming experience in ksh, csh or Bourne (C or Perl a big plus). Knowledge of basic Unix permissions also required.

Report directly to the Sys Admin manager and focus approximately 50% of time in support of basic corporate Unix service (printing, email, etc.) and approximately 50% of time in support of internal application development. Interact closely with Operations Data Center, personnel vendors, peer Sys Admin and DBA groups. Provides a tremendous opportunity to work closely with Cisco's well known Internet Sys Admins.

Mechanical Engineer

Help plan and execute the design and development of system packaging for high volume, low cost computer or network/WAN products; design computer enclosures and related electromechanical assemblies using solid modeling techniques; consult with in-house engineers to ensure product design and marketing requirements will be met; manage mechanical design projects with outside design resources; perform/coordinate design verification testing of new products; perform board and system level thermal and structural analysis; work with other engineers to select electromechanical components including air movers, connectors, fasteners, form factors, raw materials and manufacturing processes.

Financial Analyst

Act as liaison and financial/business partner with Cisco Business Units. Prepare detailed standard cost by product analyses/summaries in support of the quarterly standards update process. Participate in all apects of the bi-annual budget/monthly forecast for product gross margin.

New Product Introduction Engineer

Responsible for the technical coordination of new product releases between design and manufacturing. Provide technical guidance for manufacturability and testability of PC board assemblies, ASIC's and interconnect products. Test, debug, and troubleshoot prototypes. Create and maintain new product documentation packages. Train Cisco and vendor personel on new products. Interface and support a wide variety of client groups within manufacturing, engineering, test, and service.

Associate Systems Engineer

As an Associate SE, you will be providing technical support to Cisco customers. In this support capacity you will: help design Cisco networks; assist customers with initial configuration of Cisco products; create configurations based on engineering designs; provide emergency support to Customer Engineering, Management and sales teams; set up equipment for demonstrations to existing and prospective customers and sales teams. Throughout these activities you will be assisted by a technical mentor assigned to optimize productivity and learning.

Prefer BS or MS (EE/ECE/Telecommunications/or CS) degrees. The following degrees will be considered: Information Systems, Math, and Business. A GPA of 3.0 or better and strong written and verbal communication skills is required. Dean's list is a Plus. Knowledge of TCP/IP or other networking protocol is a plus. Strong understanding pf and hands on experience with networking technology such as routers, switches, hubs, and ATM a big plus. Should be PC, Computer and Internet literate. Ability to understand complex technical issues and apply technical solutions is desired. Ability to speak to a group is a plus.

As an Associate SE, you will spend 12-14 weeks at corporate headquarters in a training program helping you accomplish the following. You will be expected to develop knowledge of routing and routed protocols, Intranet and solutions for the campus and WAN through classroom and on-the-job training. You will learn to provide technical assistance to systems engineers on their accounts. Accurately create product configurations and assist account managers in the preparation of quotations. You will work in a team environment. Learn to deliver presentations to the client on Cisco's products.

Associate Sales Representative

Should be PC and Internet literate. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Willingness to relocate for 2-3 years to N.C is required. Involvement in community and college activities is essential, as well as memberships in career and community related organizations.

Teamwork Skills, the ability to understand complex issues and apply business solutions, and the ability to speak to a group are essential. Sales knowledge a plus. Knowledge of networking is a plus.
