基本的な Cisco IOS コマンドは、dialer idle-timeout および timeout absolute です。 これらはどちらも、インターフェイス設定コマンドです。仮想アクセスインターフェイスで使用される、3 番目のコマンド ppp timeout idle についても説明します。

dialer idle-timeout <x>

timeout absolute <x> <y>

ppp timeout idle <x>

また、Cisco IOS 11.3(8.1)T 以降のバージョンに追加された機能により、ユーザごとのタイムアウトは非マルチリンク ISDN ユーザに適用できるようになりました。 これは、コマンド ライン インターフェイスを使用しないで B-channel にタイマーを直接設定する、バックグラウンド プロセス設定モードをバイパスします。
