对于有NetBIOS的一会话,有在DLSw处理协商的方式上的变化;但是,调试是非常类似的。在两SNA和NetBIOS的唯一的差异是XIDs不为NetBIOS站流,并且DLSw路由器交换NetBIOS名称查询和NetBIOS名称被认可的帧。

执行反向媒介转换的DLSw

在XID交换, SABME从AS/400接收通过CONNECT.Ind后。这通知路由器发送CONNECT.Req到SDLC线路,是SNRM。然后CONNECT.Cfm (UA)从串行线路接收,造成DLSw代码发送Connect.Rsp (UA)到AS/400。
