Solutions featured in the Cisco booth are outlined below:

Connected Community

Innovative Experiences in the Digital City
Smart+Connected City Parking

Parking can be a challenging issue, especially in urban areas, where 30 percent of all traffic congestion is caused by drivers circling to find a space. Cisco Smart+Connected City Parking addresses these issues through the introduction of sensors and video-enabled parking management. Smart+Connected City Parking provides citizens with real-time information about available parking. The end results are less traffic congestion and a more effective partnership between cities, citizens, local businesses, and parking enforcement agencies.

The solution makes this possible by:

  • Combining IP cameras, sensors, smartphone apps, and the Cisco Smart+Connected City Wi-Fi infrastructure to provide parking availability to citizens in real time
  • Integrating with enforcement applications and pushing violation notices to traffic officers
  • Providing greater visibility into parking analytics, such as usage and vacancy periods, so cities can make better informed decisions and long-term plans

Cisco, together with Streetline, offers the Smart+Connected Parking Solution. Using Streetline's Parker motorist guidance application, Guided Enforcement application, ParkSight analytics application, and Streetline parking sensors, Cisco and Streetline deliver a solution that helps to reduce traffic congestion and improve city livability. Stop by the Cisco booth 14 to learn more about Smart+Connected City Parking.

Connected Communities
Smart+Connected City Operations

As cities strive to become more responsive to citizen needs, they turn to the flexibility of IP networks to deliver converged voice, video, and data services. Cities are seeing a shift in market demands from a reactive management approach to a proactive monitoring and management solution. Operations centers typically gather data and video feeds from across the globe, and these multiple data sources traditionally result in a number of monitoring areas and display screens.

The Cisco Smart+Connected City Operations Center enables the monitoring and control of dynamic activities involving high-resolution image processing, real-time video feeds, data integration, and various data and alert signals. The solution provides integrated data processing of sensor, map, and video data on a single layout.

The Cisco platform offers a unified management experience for city infrastructure, simplifying control room operation and system integration, minimizing total cost of ownership, and increasing operational efficiency critical to rapid decision making. Stop by Cisco booth 14 to learn more about Smart+Connected City Operations.
