Based in Singapore, Mark leads business development for Cisco’s ASEAN FSI vertical.
Mark is an astute financial services executive, focused on helping enterprises transform unstructured business challenges into new, efficient operating capabilities, competitive advantage and sustainable growth. Mark excels at working with business leaders to facilitate change and acceptance of new approaches. He is a versatile executive with a wide-ranging skill set who gained substantial global experience managing cross-functional teams on largescale projects and in CXO roles. Mark has been domiciled in the UK, Australia, Singapore and India, and collaborated extensively with teams in the US, Europe, China, and Asia Pacific.
Mark developed Cisco’s six Mandatory Attributes of Leading Banks, which interprets Cisco’s value proposition into financial services. In 2013 Mark helped Cisco extend its consulting offer in the financial services sector in the Asia-Pacific, China and Japan region. Previously, consulting to a Dai-ichi Life business, he delivered a new distribution model and dealer offer. As COO and CMO of Bharti AXA Life in India, Mark transferred a raft of international best practices to the JV, and built a strong leadership team in brand, marketing, product, operations, service, IT, P3M and facilities management. He generated award-winning marketing, product and service campaigns, achieving recognition for innovation excellence. As leader of an AXA M&A team, Mark ensured the successful ©$250m acquisition of Tynan Mackenzie P/L (HNW, private wealth management) prior to adopting the role of CEO.
With graduate and post graduate qualifications in electronic engineering, business administration, Asian business management and systems engineering, Mark has excelled in leadership roles in IT&T; notably leading the $600m network build program for Yorkshire Cable in the UK and as Australasian GM for Equant (B2B network and integration services; Cisco Gold Partner). Mark also delivered programs and capabilities for other businesses and Government departments, realizing product, go-to-market, and development strategies.
As an Australian military officer Mark specialized in high technology (radar, laser, guided weapons, communications, chemical defense) systems engineering for large-scale development and acquisition programs. Mark’s last role in Army was with the High Commission in London, leading the customer-side of a development, production and technology-transfer program for integrated radio systems.
Sr. Manager, APJC Field Product Management
Demetris Booth is responsible for Regional Field Product Management and Evangelism for Cisco Security in APJC. Through ongoing interactions with customers, partners, and sales team members, Mr. Booth defines product requirements, positioning and go-to-market strategies for Cisco’s Sourcefire network and endpoint security solutions.
Prior to this role, Mr. Booth held Senior Management roles with Juniper Networks’ Mobile Security Solutions team in Asia-Pacific. In this role, Mr. Booth was responsible for Thought Leadership, Go-to-Market Strategies, Business Development, and Strategic Planning.
Prior to Juniper, Mr. Booth was WW Director of Systems Engineering for Application Security vendor Teros, Inc, which was acquired by Citrix Systems in 2005. Post Acquisition, Mr. Booth was tasked with leading the Product Specialist Team in EMEA, developing technical and sales expertise for the Application Security products in the region.
As a sixteen-year veteran of the technology industry, Mr. Booth brings a diverse, global perspective, having served in various roles in North America, Europe, and Asia.
