Dinesh Malkani is President, Sales, Cisco India and SAARC. In this role, Dinesh leads sales and operations in the theatre.
In his earlier role, Dinesh was responsible for Cisco's Enterprise, Public Sector and Service Provider business across India & SAARC. He joined Cisco in 2010 and led the company's collaboration technologies team, in the APJC region, where it became a market leader.
With more than 22 years of experience in the IT and communications industry in APJC, Dinesh has held leadership positions in R&D, systems engineering and sales. He served as Country Manager in China and Korea in his earlier roles.
VC Gopalratnam (Gopal) is Cisco’s Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Asia Pacific Japan and China region and President of Information Technology. He is also the leader for Global IT Services, guiding the vision and strategy for key IT enablers across the organization. In addition, he serves as Chief of Strategy, Planning, and Operations for Cisco India, managing infrastructure development and operations, university relations, and company priorities of inclusion and diversity and corporate social responsibility.
A core member of Cisco’s executive leadership team in India and the region, Gopal has worked in the technology industry for more than 25 years with leading multinational corporations. He serves on the Board of the Cisco Foundation and leads the India Civic Council Board.
Before joining Cisco in 2007, Gopal was the business leader of the Global Analytics practice at General Electric Capital International Services. Prior to that role, he led GE’s Global e-Engineering/Collaborative Engineering practice.
Gopal holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Chennai, India, Master of Science degrees in both Chemical Engineering and Environmental Risk Studies, and an MBA in MIS/finance.
Ruma Balasubramanian leads Cisco’s Enterprise Business and Digital Transformation for Asia Pacific & Japan. She is responsible for developing and executing Cisco’s growth strategy for the Enterprise business region-wide, building on the solid foundation of existing partnerships with customers and key partners, and creating future collaborations. Her #1 goal is delivering compelling business and technology value to customers. Her areas of responsibility include Enterprise & Public Sector Vertical Practices, Digital Transformation Solutions, Large and Transformational Accounts, Large and Complex Deals, and IoT Acceleration. She is also responsible for co-creating digital solutions with customers and partners in Cisco’s Innovation Centers.
Prior to her current role, Ruma led Cisco APJ’s Partner Organization, where she drove partner sales and enabled the growth strategy of the APJ partner ecosystem. She joined Cisco in 2012 as VP Sales Enablement APJ and Greater China, where she was responsible for operationalizing the APJC growth strategy and enabling regional leaders to drive direct and channel sales and services.
Before joining Cisco, Ruma was VP for Hewlett Packard’s Enterprise Services Sales for APJ and Greater China, where she was responsible for developing and executing sales plans for the financial services, transportation, government and manufacturing industries. She led a team of 200 sales professionals – improving bookings by 50% in three years. She then moved to role of VP and GM for Asia where she had full P&L responsibility for HP’s IT Outsourcing, Applications, and Business Process Outsourcing contracts and client relationships in ASEAN, Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
Ruma started her career as an IBM System Engineer and held a role at CSC Consulting before joining A. T. Kearney. Ruma later joined EDS where she held various sales roles in public sector sales, where her teams captured several strategic government wins. Ruma has earned numerous top performer sales awards, and she and her teams have been directly responsible for closing US$8 billion in total services contract value.
Ruma holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a degree in Computer Engineering from Columbia University. With her husband and two daughters, Ruma has lived in Singapore since 2007.
Dave West leads the Architectures Business in Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), which includes all the sales, solutions and engineering teams that are part of Cisco’s business units – Software and Network Transformation, Data Center, Collaboration and Security.
With over 25 years of experience in the ICT industry, 16 years of which at Cisco, Dave West is as one of the greatest advocates of Cisco’s technologies in the APJ region. Dave nurtures close relationships with customers and partners, which yields him a strong vision and understanding of the market transitions that need to be delivered in Cisco’s architecture and solution offerings.
Before relocating to Asia, Dave West was the CTO for Cisco’s Worldwide Partner Organization, where he was responsible for working with partners to enable technical excellence in the partner technical community.
During his time at Cisco, Dave has held other key leadership roles, including: Sr. Director, Public Sector Systems Engineering and Architectures leading the systems engineers and managers supporting Federal, State and Local Government, Education; Director, Center of Excellence for Public Sector Solutions; Senior Manager, Systems Engineering, Department of Defense and Intelligence; Senior Manager, Advanced Technologies, responsible for voice, security, optical, and wireless engineering and pre-sales support for federal customers and partners.
Dave is a former Marine Officer, graduated from the Virginia Military Institute. He holds an MS in Information Systems from the Naval Postgraduate School.
Partha Iyengar is VP and distinguished analyst in Gartner's CIO Research -Service and Operational Technology Management team. He is also the Country Manager - Research, India, with responsibility for managing the India research agenda. His researchinterests cover areas of strategic interest to CIOs and their direct reports, including service management and sourcing issues, and the newly emerging areas of IT-OT integration management. In addition, he covers the areas of business and IT strategy, businessvalue of IT, IT measurement (ITScore), CIO leadership issues and the changing role of the CIO in a globalized world. He also researches India-and China-related issues in terms of the business, technology and innovation impact these countries have on the global marketplace, and also on how global enterprises can succeed with their IT and business initiatives in these markets. His recent reports have focused on "On Demand: From Capacity to Capability," "The Entrepreneurial CIO" and "Managing Strategic Partners." Mr. Iyengaris a frequent and much sought-after speaker and presenter at numerous Gartner and external forums, as well as for various government organizations in India, China and other countries. He is extensively quoted in the local, national andinternational press; was interviewed on the U.S. CBS News show "60 Minutes"; was a panelist on a CNN International panel discussion on the future of IT; and also participated in the BBC panel discussion on IT in emerging markets. He is the co-authorof a book published by Harvard Business School Press on India and China strategies, titled "IT and the East: How China and India Are Altering the Future of Technology and Innovation." Mr. Iyengaris a nonexecutive director on the board of directors of State Bank of India, India's largest bank and one of the world's largest financial institutions. He is also on the advisory board of SymbiosisCenter for IT, a leading management school in India
Mr. Iyengarhas more than 22 years of experience in the field of IT, including in the U.S., where he has held senior technical and managerial positions at major U.S. corporations, including Gartner. Prior to setting up Gartner operations in India, his previous positions in the U.S. include director of Applications Development (AD) within Gartner's internal IT department, in Stamford,Connecticut. In this position, he had responsibility for conceptualizing, developing, maintaining and managing Gartner's entire internal and client-facing applications portfolio. Prior to joining Gartner, he had a very successful stint as CEO and principalconsultant of his own consulting organization in the U.S., where he provided consulting assistance to major corporations in the areas of application design, architecture, standards, software process control and overall AD methodology. He has also worked at the Fortune 100 consumer goods company, James River Corporation, and prior to that in the manufacturing segment at UNC Aerospace.
Stephen Dane is Managing Director of Cisco’s Global Security Sales Organization (GSSO) for Asia Pacific, Japan and Greater China. He is responsible for the growth and profitability of Cisco’s security business in the region, driving Cisco as the No. 1 security partner and advisor to customers and partners.
With more than two decades of expertise in the IT and Telecom industry, Stephen is well-known and experienced in developing security businesses, and in positioning security as integral to the business strategy of all organisations. Stephen has been with Cisco for seven years, and was previously the EMEA Vice President for cloud-based web security company ScanSafe, which was acquired by Cisco in December 2009. He was responsible for integrating the ScanSafe business into Cisco, and has since also led the UK Network and Content Security team.
Prior to joining Cisco, Stephen held various positions with BT in the UK and across Asia Pacific, managing teams focusing on the Financial Services industry and the Energy sector. He has also worked for cloud and mobile software start-up companies such as MessageLabs and iPass, where he developed strategic alliances and built business in emerging markets across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Stephen served as Managing Director of iPass (UK) Ltd before joining ScanSafe.
Puneet Gupta leads Cisco's Enterprise Sales segment across the India & SAARC region. In this role, Puneet will be responsible for the Public Sector, ITS and BFSI business in the theatre. Prior to this Puneet was leading the Public Sector vertical and set Cisco India up for success as the Indian government begins to invest heavily in the sector. With his deep experience in the enterprise space and proven ability to drive growth, Puneet will help Cisco India grow, lead and capitalize on the opportunity in the enterprise segment.
Darryl McKinnon leads the Collaboration business for Cisco covering Asia Pacific and Japan. Cisco’s Collaboration experience includes Messaging, Meeting, Calling, Video, Hybrid & Cloud offerings for all size of businesses. He is actively engaged with Cisco’s channel partners and is the primary interface with the Collaboration Technology Group in the company's global headquarters in San Jose.
In his role, Darryl works with customers and partners to help them benefit from Collaboration solutions that help organizations address key business goals in customer satisfaction, productivity, cost control, employee engagement, innovation and growth.
Through his career, Darryl has been successful in implementing new technologies, managing core lines of business, launching key channel partner strategy initiatives, as well as the turnaround and high growth in the businesses & partnerships he has been involved with or under his leadership.
Darryl has over 25 years’ experience in IT consulting, software and solutions working at LBMS, Sybase, EMC, Brocade, Hitachi Data Systems and COPAN Systems. Darryl joined Cisco in 2008 in the high growth Data Center Sales business which he led for 3 years prior to the Collaboration business.
Darryl is passionate that people working together can achieve extraordinary things.
Darryl has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Computer Science) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He lives in Singapore with his wife and three kids.
Craig is the Regional Director responsible for the Data Center Go To Market across Asia Pacific and Japan for Cisco.
Craig has close to 30 years’ experience in the Enterprise computing industry focusing on Storage solutions and Networking technologies. Craig has performed various functions and roles within this industry including Senior Storage Architect and IT Management for a number of large organisations in Australia, consulting services for solutions integrators and as a Senior Systems Engineer and Technical Marketing Manager within APJ for Networking Vendors. Craig has also spent a number of years working throughout Asia Pacific as a Technology spokesperson and consultant, focusing on Networking and Cloud services in a highly virtualised world.
Kavitha Mohammad has years of global experience in management consulting, smart cities, IoT and transformational technologies —developing and executing critical elements of organizational strategy.
Kavitha currently leads Solution Sales for Intel in Public Sector vertical including Government, Education and High Performance Computing (HPC) domains by commercializing and scaling solutions through new design wins, tested reference architectures and viable business models in Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) region. Her primary charter is to influence sales by advocating the value of Compute, Smart devices, Cloud, Big Data, Analytics. She is also responsible for Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy with partners on solutions and business models. In her earlier role, Kavitha was driving Smart Cities Consulting and IoT Partnerships at Cisco, responsible for Technology Strategy, Design and Delivery models for flagship customers in APJ and for several large enterprises and private developers in emerging markets.
Prior to Cisco, Kavitha was at A.T Kearney’s San Francisco office, where she focused on innovative business models, growth drivers and operations efficiency for several Fortune 1000 clients. While at Redback networks (now an Ericsson Company) in San Jose, USA, she was instrumental in driving solutions for their next generation product line.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from BITS, Pilani in India and an MBA from The Wharton School of Business, Philadelphia, USA.
Praveen Kalugotla heads the Product Sales Management/Product Marketing at NetApp India & SAARC. He joined NetApp in November 2013. He is responsible for co-creating and managing NetApp’s industry leading products and solutions in India and the SAARC regions. He is also a part of the India leadership team. He believes in leveraging creativity, management and technology to enable business success.
Praveen comes to NetApp with 17 years of experience. He has worked in principal technology companies, global IT infrastructure consulting-outsourcing services, and in the telecom carrier space, where he got exposure in the Banking, Telecom, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas and Government sectors.
Prior to NetApp Praveen was with Capgemini Consulting India, which is one of the world's foremost provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, where he was the Associate Director of Infrastructure Services. Prior to this he has held positions in various functions such as Strategic Sales of IT services, solutions and products; Business Development, Pre-sales, Delivery, Operations, Product Marketing and Program leadership in companies such as Sun Microsystems India, Reliance Communications Limited, IBM Global Services, Bharti Telenet Limited and taught at the JNTU College of Engineering.
Praveen is an alumnus of Banaras Hindu University, and holds an MBA degree in International Business and Bachelor of Technology in Electronics & Communications Engineering.
