Sara Adams is Managing Director of the Partner Business Group for Cisco Australia and New Zealand. Adams is responsible for supporting Cisco's business with more than 1,000 partners, representing the company's primary route to market. The Australian and New Zealand partner community, which includes systems integrators, value–added resellers, distributors, services and technology partners, expands Cisco's customer reach with innovative solutions and services based on Cisco technology.
Adams and her team develop the strategic initiatives and programs that increase profitable growth for partners across enterprise, service provider, mid–market and SMB. Adams is also driven to ensure that partners have the right capabilities and skills to meet customers' evolving needs, while accelerating market adoption of key industry inflection points such as cloud, business video and enterprise collaboration.
A 14-year veteran of Cisco, Adams has cultivated her extensive sales and management experience through a number of leadership roles in mid-market and SMB sales, services, distribution and product marketing.
Prior to Cisco, Adams worked in various IT companies including Claris, a subsidiary of Apple Computers. Her global industry experience has included positions in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Adams is a past president and current committee member of the Cisco Australia and New Zealand Women's Action Network which focuses on attracting, developing and retaining talented female employees. She is also a member of the Females in Information Technology and Telecommunications (FITT).
Adams was born in Canada and studied at York University in Toronto. She currently lives in Sydney with her husband and son.
Kevin Bloch is Chief Technology Officer at Cisco. As CTO, he provides leadership of technology vision and leadership of people within Cisco to communicate and execute on that vision.
Kevin joined Cisco 8 years ago. Previously, he held positions with other telecommunications equipment manufacturers as well as with Telstra. He has held several roles in the telecommunications industry including management, strategic planning, marketing, sales, systems engineering and technology development. His expertise covers the fields of architecture, internet technologies, narrowband and broadband access, transmission and switching.
Kevin holds a B.Sc (Computer Science) and a B.E. (Engineering Hons) from the University of New South Wales and is the author of several notable publications and technical reference books.
Ken Boal has spent the past 20 years in sales & delivery leadership roles in the networking & collaboration market in Australia.
Ken is the Managing Director, Cisco Australia, Enterprise & Public Sector, and is a member of the Cisco ANZ Senior Leadership Team. His role is to lead Cisco's operations across the top 300 accounts in Australia.
From 2008 till October 2012, as Director Public Sector at Cisco ANZ, Ken led Cisco's engagement in Australia's Federal & State/Territory Governments, Defence, Education & Healthcare. His National team was responsible for all aspects of Cisco's business operations with the Public Sector market, including sales and service delivery, marketing programs, research initiatives, investments, and government affairs.
Ken also serves on the Cisco ANZ Senior Leadership team, and the APJC Public Sector Board. Having joined Cisco in 2004, Ken was the Account Executive responsible for Victorian Government and Education. He previously spent 6 years at Anixter/NetStar as Southern Region GM participating in a Management Buy Out.
Ken graduated from University of Queensland with a Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications & Electronics in 1991, and commenced his career at Honeywell in a technical role in the Building Management area. He is committed to working with Australia's Higher Education sector to enhance Australia's role in the knowledge economy.
Ken is married to Andrea with three children, and when time permits, is a passionate golfer.
Jason leads the Northern Region Partner-Led (Commercial) business for Cisco, in Australia. This role includes leading a team of partner-focused sales professionals, to grow the Mid-Market and SMB business.
Jason has been at Cisco for 13 years, in a variety of sales and sales leadership roles. His time at Cisco has included Business Development, Enterprise Account Management and more recently in leadership roles for the Mid-Market and Partner-Led Business.
Prior to Cisco, Jason worked at Optus for 5 years - predominantly in a Contact Centre Consulting and Business Analyst role.
Jason is married with 3 children. He spends any free time he has with his family and building guitars.
Sam Gerner's career in the information technology and communications industry spans 20 years and includes time at Fujitsu and EMC before he joined Cisco in 1999. At Cisco he has held various sales and management roles in Australia and throughout the Asia Pacific region. Sam is currently responsible for Cisco's strategy for Cloud and Managed Services in Australia and New Zealand and has a team working to build the next generation of Cisco partnerships for those markets.
Sam has two teenage sons and spends much of his spare time supporting their sporting and other extra-curricular endeavours. He is also heavily involved with a number of community organisations that support those with disadvantage, homelessness, mental-health and substance abuse issues.
Richard Kitts is the Vice President of Cisco Australia and New Zealand. In this role, he is responsible for driving profitable growth and market leadership through the innovative use of technology to transform business in Australia and New Zealand. Richard will be focused on solving our customers' most important business challenges with our more than 1,000 partners, while accelerating market adoption of key industry inflection points such as cloud, video and collaboration.
Prior to joining Cisco, he held a number of senior executive positions across Europe and Asia for Nokia Siemens Networks. His most recent role was Managing Director of Nokia Siemens Network Indonesia, where he successfully led the transformation of the Indonesian operation into one of the most successful in the world.
Throughout his 25 year career in the information and communications technology sector, Richard has earned a reputation for achievement in people leadership, business management and customer engagement. Previously, he has also worked for NASA, the European Space Agency and Motorola.
Richard holds an MBA from Southern Cross University in Australia.
Denny, a 16 year Cisco sales and channels veteran, is leading our Global ISV & Ecosystem Partner Organisation. In his current role, Denny works closely with our three geographical regions, engineering, services, and marketing to drive the right ISV approach to accelerate success across the new and existing partner ecosystems required to support the Internet of Everything.
Prior to this, Denny spent six years in US & Canada Channels, building and leading what grew into the Architectures and Verticals Team. Before moving into the Channels Organisation, he spent eight years in various sales specialist and leadership roles across enterprise, commercial, and public sector. Denny originally joined Cisco during the acquisition of Netsys Technologies. Prior to Cisco/Netsys, Denny had been in sales and sales leadership roles for a reseller, as well as Computer Associates (through the Legent acquisition).
Denny received his BS in Mathematics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. He lives in the Boston area with his wife and daughters.
Karen Walker is Senior Vice President of Marketing at Cisco. She leads the global Go To Market organisation that plans and executes integrated marketing campaigns, plays, programs, and demand generation to drive sales of Cisco product and services solutions, while strengthening and growing relationships with Cisco partners.
Since joining Cisco, Walker has championed marketing's role to be an accountable part of the "revenue machine" and accelerate enablement initiatives for sales teams and partners.
Walker's 25-plus years in the IT industry have included various senior field and marketing leadership roles in Europe, Asia and the Americas, and she is a recognised authority on both technology and marketing topics.
She is a Board member of the I.T. Services Marketing Association, a member of the CMO Council and the Marketers that Matter Council, and she has lectured on business thought leadership at UC Berkeley, Haas Business School.
Walker holds a bachelor of science degree with joint honours in chemistry and business studies from Loughborough University in England.
