The ICND1 exam and training course have been revised from v2.0 to v3.0. Candidates can choose to take either the 100-101 ICND1 v2.0 exam or 100-105 ICND1 v3.0 exam. The last day to test for the 100-101 ICND1 v2.0 exam will be August 20, 2016.
100-101 Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1) is the exam associated with the CCENT certification and a tangible first step in achieving the CCNA Routing and Switching certification. This exam tests a candidate's knowledge and skills required to successfully install, operate, and troubleshoot a small branch office network. The exam includes topics on the Operation of IP Data Networks; LAN Switching Technologies; IP Addressing (IPv4 & IPv6); IP Routing Technologies; IP Services (DHCP, NAT, ACLs); Network Device Security; Basic Troubleshooting.
