Introduction

Dynamic Address Allocation and Resolution Includes information on ARP(Address Resolution Protocol) which is used to dynamically bind a high level IP Address to a low-level physical hardware address, BOOTP(Bootstrap Protocol) which is used for bootstrapping a diskless system to find its IP address, and DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) which provides a framework for passing information to hosts on a TCP/IP network DHCP is based on BOOTP.
