Open Caveats

This section lists the open caveats in WLSE software release 2.15.2.

Note To obtain more information about known problems, see the Cisco Software bug Toolkit at http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Bugtool/home.pl. (You will be prompted to log into Cisco.com.)

CSCsi46083—The performance inventory job took little longer than the default period setting of 31 minutes, which keeps the WLSE server resource usage at a high level all the time.

This happens when the WLSE server is under stress running with both WLSE 1133 (S27) and
WLSE 1130 (S19) and managing the maximum number of supported devices (1500) with SNMPv3 and Radio management enabled in addition to voice traffic.

Note CPU usage is extremely high (about 90%) when you use SNMPv3.

Workaround: If you use SNMP v3 with a large number of managed devices, set the period for the default Performance Inventory job to 50 minutes or longer to improve the usage of WLSE server resources.

CSCsu10102—SnmpResponseGenErr seen during WLSE radio scan. This error is only seen the first time the access point is managed by WLSE, while runnngthe Radio scan.

Workaround: Subsequent radio scans work without any error.

CSCsu97151—The Configuration job save page displays a warning message for devices running 12.4(10b)JDA1 software. The following message displays on a WLSE (version 2.15.2) when applying a configuration template to devices running version 12.4(10b)JDA* software (where * is a number):

This device version appears to be newer than the maximum version supported. The configuration job may fail if this template is applied to the device.

Workaround: Ignore the warning message and apply the template to devices running 12.4(10b)JDA* software (where * is a number).

Resolved Caveats

These caveats are resolved in WLSE software release 2.15.2:

CSCsl07092—Warning message when upgrading from 12.3(8)JEB to12.3(8)JEC. An error message displays when trying to upgrade or downgrade access points running 12.3(8)JEB and 12.3(8)JEC firmware.

CSCsl50567—WLSE fails to check RPG settings on devices. A Job Successful status is reported after applying RPG settings to access points running 12.4(3g)JA1, even when the access points indicate an error and do not apply the settings.

CSCsl71183—WLSE's template is not broadcasting an MBSSID when using the Template Categories section. However, a custom value works only if DTIM is not being enabled.

When using DTIM and MBSSID-GUESTMODE as a custom value, the access point enables the DTIM but it disables the MBSSID-GUESTMODE.

CSCsl97199—When the WLSE Credentials Verification Job for SNMP is finished, the radio interfaces that were up are reset and the following type of messages appear in the access point log:

*Jul 6 19:16:24.960: %SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from <IP_ADDRESS> by snmp
*Jul 6 19:16:24.964: %LINK-5-CHANGED: Interface Dot11Radio0, changed state to reset
*Jul 6 19:16:24.990: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface Dot11Radio0, changed state to up

CSCsm94076—The WLCCP link fails with 1130 access points running 12.4 software. The output of the show wlccp wnm status command reflects a NOT AUTHENTICATED status for the WLCCP link between an access point and WLSE.

This problem is observed on 1130 access points after upgrading to Cisco IOS 12.4(10b)JA or 12.4(3g)JA1 software and using WLSE 2.13 or 2.15. The problem is also observed when using the WDS local RADIUS server or the WLSE RADIUS server.

CSCso29960—The Reachability column in the MWSM device report for WLSE is shown as not responding. This problem occurs when using WLSE 2.15 or 2.15.1 and managing WLSEs using MWSM.

CSCsh19233—WLSE 2.11 SNMP MIB resets the sysUptime every 6 days. In some circumstances a WLSE 2.11 running longer than 6 days produces a sysUptime value different than the uptime reported using the CLI show ver command.
