Cisco Unity 4.0(5) Engineering Special 51
Published March 13, 2006
CSCsb89484 - When Subscribers access their mailbox and try to check messages on Cisco Unity for Lotus Domino systems, if the invalid/corrupt NDR is in the new message stack the subscriber will hear: "..you have X new messages. To listen to new messages press 1.." When the subscriber presses 1 they hear: "New messages", "End of new messages", "This system is temporarily unable to complete your call. Try again later. Good-bye". The same behavior has been noted when the invalid/corrupt NDR is in the old message stack.
CSCsc43846 - The current mechanism for searching through the address book for a user found in the "To:" field of an NDR may result in errors and/or exceptions being reported by the conversations and could eventually lead to the crash of the AvcsMgr service.
Problem Description and Resolution
Note THIS ENGINEERING SPECIAL HAS BEEN LOCALIZED FOR ENU ONLY.
CSCsb89484 - The conversation responsible for playing new/old messages was enhanced to handle invalid/corrupt NDRs and the following new prompt was recorded to handle this condition: "Receipt is not available." The conversation will then transition to the state to handle invalid/corrupt NDRs.
CSCsc43846 - The Cisco Unity server will no longer search the Domino address book to find a match for an entry in the "TO" field of an NDR, instead it will look in the Global Subscriber table in SQL. The Global Subscriber table in SQL already contains all the pertinent information.
Special Installation Instructions
Both the Engineering Special and the patch containing the new prompt files must be installed.
