Problem Symptoms

The AvMsgStoreMonitorSvr service crashes after a restart of the partner Lotus Domino service or reboot of the Lotus Domino server.

Problem Description and Resolution

When the Lotus Domino service is restarted or the Lotus Domino server rebooted the AvMsgStoreMonitorSvr service attempts to obtain a count of messages and synchronize the mail profile. As part of synchronizing the mail profile is updating the mail file owner. At startup this value is passed as NULL which caused an exception in the AvMsgStoreMonitorSvr.

A check is now made to see if the mailbox owner is NULL before attempting to update the mail file owner on the Domino server.
