Feature Description

When a call that is made from the ISUP (ETS_300_356) to the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is redirected to the ISUP (ETS_300_356), the following information is sent in Initial Address Messages (IAM) or Address Complete Messages (ACM):

Original Called Number in an IAM

Redirecting Number in an IAM

Call Diversion Information in an ACM

Redirection Information in an IAM

Redirection Number in an ACM

The Suppression of Redirecting Number and Information feature enables the optional suppression of the above parameters in IAMs and ACMs. In incoming messages, these parameters are parsed and processed for all existing call logics. The decision about suppression is taken when encoding or packing the ISUP messages in the outgoing direction of the Cisco PGW 2200 Softswitch. The ISUP trunk group properties are used to configure the suppression.

Note By default, all these parameters can be sent to the destination, which is consistent with the current behavior of Cisco PGW 2200 Softswitch.

Benefits

This feature provides the following benefit:

Suppression of certain ISUP parameters in the IAMs or ACMs while using the Cisco PGW 2200 Softswitch ISUP variant ETSI V2 (ETS_300_356).

Prerequisites

The Cisco PGW 2200 Softswitch must be running Cisco PGW 2200 Softswitch software Release 9.8(1). The prerequisites for this release of Cisco PGW 2200 Softswitch can be found in Release Notes for the Cisco PGW 2200 Softswitch Release 9.8(1) at:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/pgw/9/release/note/rn981.html

Restrictions or Limitations

The Suppression of Redirecting Number and Information feature has the following limitations:

All the provisioning of properties described in this feature are applicable only for the variant ETS_300_356.

Provisioning Tasks

This section describes the provisioning tasks for this feature.

To use this feature, perform the following main tasks:

Suppress the Original Called Number in an IAM

Suppress the Redirecting Number in an IAM

Suppress Call Diversion Information in an ACM

Suppress Redirection Information in an IAM

Suppress the Redirection Number in an ACM

Suppress the Original Called Number in an IAM

The property ocnInclude indicates whether or not to include the Original Called Number in an IAM. Valid values are:

0—Does not allow the parameter OCN to be inserted into a message.

1—Allows the parameter OCN to be inserted into a message. This is the default value.

To suppress the Original Called Number in an IAM, use the property ocnInclude with the following command:

prov-ed:sigsvcprop:name="ss7path1",ocnInclude="0"

Suppress the Redirecting Number in an IAM

The property rnInclude indicates whether or not to include the Redirecting Number in an IAM. Valid values are:

0—Does not allow the parameter RN to be inserted into a message.

1—Allow the parameter RN to be inserted into a message. This is the default value.

To suppress the Redirecting Number in an IAM, use the property rnInclude with the following command:

prov-ed:sigsvcprop:name="ss7path1",rnInclude="0"

Suppress Call Diversion Information in an ACM

The property DiversionInfoInclude indicates whether or not to include call diversion information in an ACM. Valid values are:

0—Does not allow call diversion information to be inserted into a message.

1—Allow call diversion information to be inserted into a message. This is the default value.

To suppress call diversion information in an ACM, use the property DiversionInfoInclude with the following command:

prov-ed:sigsvcprop:name="ss7path1",DiversionInfoInclude="0"

Suppress Redirection Information in an IAM

The property redirInfoInclude indicates whether or not to include redirection information in an IAM. Valid values are:

0—Does not allow redirection information to be inserted into a message.

1—Allow redirection information to be inserted into a message. This is the default value.

To suppress redirection information in an IAM, use the property redirInfoInclude with the following command:

prov-ed:sigsvcprop:name="ss7path1",redirInfoInclude="0"

Suppress the Redirection Number in an ACM

The property GenerateRedirectionNumber indicates whether or not to include the Redirection Number in an ACM. Valid values are:

0—Does not allow the Redirection Number to be inserted into a message.

1—Allow the Redirection Number to be inserted into a message. This is the default value.

To suppress the Redirection Number in an ACM, use the property GenerateRedirectionNumber with the following command:

prov-ed:sigsvcprop:name="ss7path1",GenerateRedirectionNumber="0"
