Reach Me Anywhere Settings

GUI: Cisco Business Edition 3000 Administrative Interface

The Reach Me Anywhere feature allows you to configure the Ring Timing in your system. The following table describes the settings that display on the Reach Me Anywhere settings page in the Cisco Business Edition 3000 Administrative Interface ( System Settings > Reach Me Anywhere).

Description

Ring Timing Sets Information

Short Delay

Short Delay consists of the following:
  • Ring Delay (sec)
  • Answer Delay (sec)
  • Ring Duration (sec)

Click Edit to change the configuration settings.

Click Delete to remove the Short Delay ring timing. You can delete Short Delay timing only if the Short Delay is not in use.

The default value for answer delay is 1.5 seconds and ring duration is 20 seconds.

Note   

If Short Delay is not in use, and if you click Delete, a window appears to confirm delete.

Note   

If the Short Delay is in use and if you click Delete, the system prompts "The ring timing set 'Short Delay' cannot be deleted because it is configured for the users listed below. The Reach Me Anywhere settings for these users must be switched to a different ring timing set before this one can be deleted."

Moderate Delay (default)

Moderate Delay consists of the following:
  • Ring Delay (sec)
  • Answer Delay (sec)
  • Ring Duration (sec)

Click Edit to change the configuration settings.

The default value for answer delay is 2.5 seconds and ring duration is 25 seconds.

You cannot delete the ring timing set for Moderate delay because it is a default setting.

Long Delay

Long delay consists of the following:
  • Ring Delay (sec)
  • Answer Delay (sec)
  • Ring Duration (sec)

Click Edit to change the configuration settings.

Click Delete to remove the ring timing set. You can delete Long delay timing only if the Long delay is not in use.

The default value for answer delay is 3.5 seconds and ring duration is 30 seconds.

Note   

If Long Delay is not in use, and if you click delete, a window appears to confirm delete.

If the Long delay is in use and if you click delete, the system prompts "The ring timing set 'Long Delay' cannot be deleted because it is configured for the users listed below. The Reach Me Anywhere settings for these users must be switched to a different ring timing set before this one can be deleted."

Add Ringing Time Set.

You can add a new customized timing set.

The following table describes the fields for Add Ringing Time Settings.

Description

Name

Name of the profile (Short Delay, Moderate Delay, Long Delay).

Note   

Name field is mandatory.

Ring Delay (sec)

The time to wait before ringing alternate number. The value ranges from 1 to 30 seconds.

Note   

You can increment the value by 1 second.

Answer Delay (Sec)

Time to wait before allowing connection to alternate number. Used to avoid immediate forwarding or voicemail pickup from alternate number. The value ranges from 0 to 10.

Note   

You can increment the value by 0.5 seconds.

Ring Duration (Sec)

Time to continue ringing alternate number. The value ranges from 10 to 300.

Note   

You can increment the value by 5 second.

Settings Timeline

Elapsed time since call arrived. The value ranges from 0 to 340.

Make this the default timer set

Check the check box to set the current profile as the default timer.

OK

Click OK to save changes.

Cancel

Click Cancel to discard the changes.

The following table describes the Edit Ring Timing Settings for the selected profile.
