Release Notes - Read through the Release Notes document. It contains a brief summary of new features and release-specific issues.
Network Site Survey - The network administrator should use this survey to designate specific names, connections, and addresses for the network. This is a key planning step, because this is the information that will be used to generate the data (for the Network Information Data Sheet (NIDS)) that the Cisco BTS 10200 Softswitch will use to communicate with the service provider network.
Selecting the Hardware Configuration - Work with your Cisco account team to select the system configuration and specific hardware components for your deployment.
Building and Power Site Survey - Verify with your network administrator or supervisor that you have a complete list of the hardware you will be installing. Prepare your site for the installation of this hardware. Follow all local requirements and safety codes.
Site Preparation - Verify that your site is prepared as described in this document. This document includes a discussion of requirements for safety and compliance, network communication reliability, and demarcation points.
Component Interoperability - This is a list of external network elements (NEs), such as gateways, routers, application servers, phones, SIP endpoints, ATAs, eMTAs, CMTSs, and ITPs tested for interoperability with the Cisco BTS 10200 Softswitch. Caution: Verify that the hardware and software versions of external NEs you are planning to deploy in your network are the versions that have been tested for interoperability with the Cisco BTS 10200 Softswitch.
