Customizing Cisco acquired Tandberg/Codian products and Cisco TelePresence Serial Gateway Series products

Customizing Cisco acquired TANDBERG/Codian Conferencing products and Cisco TelePresence Serial Gateway Series products

You can control what users see and hear on your Cisco acquired TANDBERG/Codian and Cisco TelePresence Serial Gateway Series products. You can customize:

Auto attendant

On an MCU you can add a custom banner image to any configured auto attendant. To do this:

  1. Go to Conferences > Auto attendant..
  2. Click the name of the configured auto attendant.
  3. Click the Banner tab.
  4. Alter the settings as required.
  5. Click Update.

See the online help topic associated with this page (Adding a custom auto attendant banner) for detailed information about each field.

Note: On a 4200 Series MCU, replacing the banner replaces the entire top bar of the auto attendant screen. On a 4500 Series MCU, the auto attendant has been improved to a high definition image, therefore the banner now just replaces the Codian logo . This is to ensure that the auto attendant screen works both on normal and wide display formats.

Auto attendant text prompts

By default the IP gateway includes a number of text prompts that appear on the auto attendant menus. These prompts are used by the IP gateway to provide callers with information, for example: "Back" "Cancel".

  2. In the Installed customizations section, click show file details.
  3. Click Download default to download the text file that comprises the text prompts.
