Cisco Digital Media Player
The Cisco Digital Media Player (DMP) is a highly reliable, IP-based hardware endpoint that enables digital signage and Enterprise TV through the ability to play high-definition live and on-demand video, motion graphics, Web, and dynamic content on digital displays.

Connecting the DMP to the System
To connect the DMP to the CTS 1300, complete the following procedure
Step 1 Connect the video for the DMP to the Digital Media Player (DMP) HD video connection on the CTS 1300 display. See Figure 5-1 for the connection.

Step 2 Connect the audio for the DMP to the DMP Audio connection on the codec. See Figure 5-2 for the connection.

Configuring the DMP Video for Use with the CTS 1300
To configure the audio and video software for correct functioning with the CTS 1300, complete the following steps:
Step 1 Log into the CIsco TelePresence System administrative GUI.
Step 2 Navigate to Troubleshooting > Hardware Setup > Other Devices > DMS.
Step 3 Click the Other Devices radio button.
Step 4 Click the DMS tab.
Step 5 Check the Enable DMS check box.
Configuring the DMP Audio for Use with the CTS 1300
When you are not in a TelePresence call, the DMP feature allows you to use the DMP audio as the secondary audio input source. To configure the DMP audio, complete the following steps:
Step 1 Navigate to Troubleshooting > Hardware Setup > Other Devices.
Step 2 Click the DMP tab.
Step 3 Click the Start button.
•Select the DMP radio button if you want the audio to play only during the following times:
–When the system is not in a conference
–During normal business hours
You define normal business hours with the Display on Time and Display on Duration fields in Cisco Unified Communications Manager. For more information about configuring normal business hours for your CTS 1100, refer to the Cisco Unified Communications Manager Configuration Guide for the Cisco TelePresence System.
•Select the PC radio button if you want the audio to play at all times that the DMP source is active, including during a conference and during non-business hours.
Select this option if you want to share audio from the DMP source during a conference.
Step 5 To end DMP audio configuration, click Stop.
The CTS 1300 retains the setting that you specify in this procedure.

Cisco TelePresence Presentation Codec
The Cisco TelePresence Presentation Codec (CTS-HFR-COLLAB) provides 30 frames per second (fps) capabilities to support full-motion video presentations between Cisco TelePresence endpoints when used with an auxiliary presentation display.
Note You must install an auxiliary display to enable the 30 fps feature. For the list of the auxiliary displays that are supported for use with Cisco TelePresence systems, refer to the Release Notes for Cisco TelePresence System for your software release. Note that Cisco does not supply the cable that connects auxiliary devices to the codec.

Adding a Presentation Codec
To add the Cisco TelePresence Presentation Codec to the CTS-1000, complete the following procedure:
Step 1 Remove the cabinet cover by holding it from underneath and raising it slightly; then, grasp it from the top and gently rock it towards you to disengage it from the slots in the upper part of the cabinet. See Figure 5-5 for more information.
Step 2 Turn off the power by turning the switch in the PDU that is inside of the cabinet to the "OFF" position.
Note This switch is located near the cabinet cover, in the lower front of the cabinet.
Step 3 Install the presentation codec into the cabinet by completing the following steps:
a. Place the presentation codec into the left side of the cabinet.
Note Arrange the codec so that its power outlet is on the right as shown in Figure 5-3. Note that the Cisco logo is hidden and the perforated grill on the codec faces the left side of the display cabinet.
b. Slide the codec from the right to the left until the top of the codec slides past the spring-loaded posts inside the cabinet.
Note In some cases, you might have to lift the posts and turn them counter-clockwise prior to installation.
c. Turn the posts clockwise to lower the posts and lock the codec into place.

Step 4 Attach the cables to the presentation codec and auxiliary display by following the cabling diagram in Figure 5-4.
Note Ignore the connections for the microphone, camera, and speakers in the following diagram.

Step 5 Power on the system by turning the power switch on the PDU that is inside of the cabinet to the "ON" position.
Note Write down the IP address that displays on the bottom right corner of the display screens. This is the address of the primary codec unit.
Step 6 Attach the cabinet cover to the cabinet by completing the following steps:
a. Set the lower part of the cabinet cover into the slotted groove in the lower part of the cabinet.
b. Align the tabs in the upper part of the cabinet cover with the slots in the upper part of the cabinet.
c. Rock the cover forward until the tabs go into the slots.
Tip If required, adjust the bar attached to the top of the light reflector by loosening the three screws and raising or lowering the bar as required.

Step 7 Log in to the Cisco TelePresence Administration GUI by opening a browser on a computer that is connected to the network, then typing in the IP address of the primary codec unit into the browser address bar.
Step 8 Enter the required information at the login screen.
The Cisco TelePresence Administrator window appears.
Step 9 Verify that the status of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (seen in the lower left portion of the window) is Enabled/Up.
Step 10 Select Hardware Setup to verify that the cameras, displays, speakers, and microphones are working properly.
Step 11 Navigate to the Device Information > Configuration > CUCM settings window, then perform the following actions:
Step 12 In the Certificate Trust List (CTL) area, delete the Certificate Trust List (CTL) from your system by clicking Delete CTL.
Step 13 In the Use Configuration TFTP Server area, click Automatic to set TFTP conditions to their default value and remove any alternate TFTP servers.
Note Note If you encounter problems, you might have to reboot your presentation codec several times before it becomes active. To reboot the presentation codec, turn off and on the PDU where you plugged in the presentation codec.
Step 14 Configure your presentation codec with your CTS-3000 by completing the following steps.
a. Log in to the Cisco Unified Communications Manager web GUI.
b. Navigate to Device > Phone.
c. Find the Cisco Unified IP Phone that controls your Cisco TelePresence system by clicking Find.
d. Click the hypertext link next to the phone that controls your Cisco TelePresence System to select it.
e. In the Optional Hardware area, click the Presentation Codec check box.

f. Click Save, then, click Apply Config to apply the configuration to your system.
