The N3400-S platform has the following guidelines and limitations:
■ To replace a LEM, remove the existing LEM from the chassis and perform one of the following:
o Insert the new LEM.
o Enter copy running startup command.
■ Auto-negotiation on 40G/100G is not supported.
■ 40G is not supported on the 100G LEM.
■ 2x50 G breakout on odd ports is not supported on 100 G LEM.
The following transceivers are supported on the N3K-C3432D-S switch:
■ The following 400G transceivers are supported:
o 400G 1M and 2M Molex DAC cable.
o 400G 1M, 2M, and 2.5M Luxshare DAC cable.
o 400G LR8
o 400G SR8
■ The following 100G transceivers are supported:
o 100G CWDM4
o 100G PSM4
o 100G LR4
o 100G SR4
o 40G/100G SRBD
o 100G-SM-SR
o 100G Copper DAC – 1M, 3M, and 5M

■ The following 40G breakout transceivers are supported on 100G LEM:
o 40G 4x10g AOC-7m (QSFP-4X10G-AOC7M)
o 40G 4x10g ACU-10m (QSFP-4X10G-AC10M)
■ 100G 3M copper can take up to a maximum of 11 seconds to link up across 400G and 100G LEMs. This limitation is also applicable when connected to a Cisco Nexus 93240YC-FX2 Switch.
■ 100G 5M copper continuously flaps when connected to Cisco Nexus 93240YC-FX2 Switch BV ports.
