Bias-Free Language

The documentation set for this product strives to use bias-free language. Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform Installation Workflow

The following installation workflow describes the information and actions that you must take in order to implement a functioning Cisco Nexus Cloud Services Platform.

1. Hardware Installation

Unpack Cisco Nexus CSP
Install Cisco Nexus CSP into rack
Connect power cable
Connect to upstream switches

2. Connecting to CSP

Connect monitor and keyboard
Configure CIMC
Configure Serial over LAN access
Connect to Cisco Nexus CSP Host CLI

Configure Terminal Server access
Power on Cisco Nexus CSP
Connect to Cisco Nexus CSP Host CLI

3. Information Gathering (for software installation)

Gather the following data:
- Administrator credentials
- HA Redundancy role
- Management IP
- Domain ID
- Network uplinks
- VLANs

4. Software Installation

Connect to console
Verify CIMC version
Set up primary Cisco Nexus CSP
Set up secondary Cisco Nexus CSP
Connect to Host CLI

5. Configuring CSP

Configure port channels for flexible network uplink
Set up remote management
Option 1: Migrate existing VSM from VM to Cisco Nexus CSP
Option 2: Create new Virtual Service Blade (VSB)
