This appendix is intended as a reference for the inter-network link object and object attributes. The following tables are provided for your reference.

Table Conventions

Table A-1 lists the types of tables provided for each object in this appendix.

Description

Object - Characteristics

The object characteristics table lists the class name, class label, superclass, and database tables for the object.

Object - Attributes

The object attributes table provides information about each attribute, including the GUI label, FTI name, description, range of acceptable values, and default values. For more information about this table type, see Table A-2.

Object - Aliases

The object aliases table provides information about attributes that are aliases for other attributes. Aliases are provided to allow either attribute of an AZ pair to be referenced by a single name regardless of whether it is at the A endpoint or at the Z endpoint. For more information about aliases, see "Attribute Description" in Table A-2.


Table A-2 describes the table conventions that are used in the object attribute tables. Within each object attribute table, attributes are sorted alphabetically by FTI name.

Convention
Description

Attribute Name

The GUI label for each attribute (if applicable) is shown in double quotes. If the attribute does not have a GUI label, only the double quotes appear. The FTI name for each attribute appears in square brackets after the GUI label, in the format "GUI Label" [fti_name].

For example:

"Name" [srname]

Attribute Description

Defines the attribute. Some attributes contain restrictions or dependencies that are outside the scope of the table conventions. In this case, the restriction or dependency is included with the attribute description or within a footnote.

An attribute that is a pointer to another object is shown with the relation type and classname.

For example:

Relation of Type OPTIONAL, Relation Class Name = C4lpLport

For an attribute that has aliases, the FTI names for the aliases are included in the description, along with the FTI names of the attributes at the other endpoint.

For example:

"VCI" [raa_vci]

Alias: ralocalvci (other param: raz_vci)

Alias: raremotevci (other param: raz_vci)

means that ralocalvci and raremotevci can be used as an alias for either raa_vci or raz_vci.

In this case, the entry for the other endpoint is:

"VCI" [raz_vci]

Alias: ralocalvci (other param: raa_vci)

Alias: raremotevci (other param: raa_vci)

Attribute Flags

The attribute flags describe the attribute behaviour as follows:

Create: O

The attribute is optional upon creation.

Create: R

This attribute is required upon creation.

Create: P

This attribute is prohibited upon creation.

Modify: O

This attribute is optional upon modification.

Modify: R

This attribute is required upon modification.

Modify: P

This attribute is prohibited from modification.

Profiled

This attribute can be profiled.

Persistent

This attribute is stored in the database (rather than existing only in memory).

Acceptable Values

This column indicates the acceptable value(s) for each attribute.

Text (n)

This attribute requires a text string containing as many as n characters.

integer_1 - integer_2

This attribute requires a numerical value ranging from integer1 through integer2.

value_1 | value_2 | value_n

This attribute requires one of the enumerated values listed (value_1 or value_2 or value_n).

BOOLEAN

This attribute requires a value of true or false.

Default

This column indicates the default value (if applicable) for each attribute. Text default values are shown in double quotes. For a text attribute that does not have a default value, only the double quotes appear.

"Locked against Deletion" [srlocked]

This attribute is used to mark an object so that it cannot be accidentally deleted. It is used as follows:

When srlocked = false the normal behaviour applies (e.g., the object cannot be deleted when it is pending in another transaction, etc.). Hence under most situations it will be possible to delete the object.

When srlocked = true the object's owner (EM or SA) will reject any attempt to delete the object. This overrides the normal behaviour.
