Overview of Cisco Prime Collaboration Analytics

Prime Collaboration Analytics is installed with the Prime Collaboration Assurance application, by default. You can disable Analytics or wait for Analytics evaluation license to expire. However, the only exception is for very large OVA (150 K) installation, where you can either install Prime Collaboration Assurance only or Prime Collaboration Assurance with Prime Collaboration Analytics.

Prime Collaboration Analytics helps you to identify the traffic trend, technology adoption trend, over-and-under-utilized resources, and device resource usages in your network. You can also track intermittent and recurring network issues and address service quality issues using the Prime Collaboration Analytics Dashboards.

Prime Collaboration Analytics Licensing

Prime Collaboration Analytics license must be applied only after deploying the Prime Collaboration Assurance license.

When you switch over from the standard to the advanced mode in Prime Collaboration Assurance, the Prime Collaboration Analytics is installed in the evaluation mode. To access Prime Collaboration Analytics dashboards after the evaluation mode (60 days), you need to purchase Prime Collaboration Analytics license. We recommend that you purchase the same scale license as that for Prime Collaboration Assurance. You can continue to access Prime Collaboration Analytics in evaluation mode even after you add a license for Prime Collaboration Assurance in the advanced mode.

Prime Collaboration Analytics licensing should be greater than or equal to the sum of the total assurance count. For example, if the assurance license count is 50 for each of the above listed license categories, the license count in analytics must be greater than or equal to 200.


In evaluation mode, the Prime Collaboration Analytics license will be the same as that of Prime Collaboration Assurance.

NFR license for Prime Collaboration Analytics can be purchased only after the purchase of Prime Collaboration Assurance license.
