Explanation

CSCsc91394

(DFM 2.0.3)

Windows: Notification subscriptions do not work after upgrading DFM using December 2005 Updates

Notifications subscriptions did not work on Windows servers after they were upgraded to DFM 2.0.3 using the LMS 2.5 December 2005 Updates. This was because a process was not correctly reregistering after the installation.

This problem has been fixed. To verify that you have the image that contains the fix, do the following:

1. From the Common Services home page, select Software Center > Software Update, and click the Device Fault Manager link. A Device Fault Manager details window opens.

2. At the top of the window, under the title Device Fault Manager, verify that the Build ID contains the string REV1. If the string appears, you have the fixed image. If the string does not appear, download and reinstall the Windows image for LMS 2.5 December 2005 Updates (see "Downloading CiscoWorks LMS 2.5 December 2005 Update on Windows" section).
