Introduction

This document describes how to resolve the "Update Failed for the Service(s)" error received on the Unified Presence Server when you try to start services on a new subscriber.

How do you resolve the error received on the Unified Presence Server when you try to start services on a new subscriber?

This error message is displayed when the Cisco Unified Presence Server (CUPS) Subscriber node has not been added to the DetaultCUPSubcluster once the second node is installed.

  1. Browse to Cisco Unified Presence Server Admin Page > System > Cluster Topology > Subclusters. Drag the newly installed Cisco Unfiied Presence Subsriber to the DefaultCUPSubcluster.
  2. Activate the services.
