The user PIN requires a minimum of five digits.

Modify the Default User PIN and Password Length

Complete these steps to change the password and PIN length for DC Directory:

  1. Select Start > Programs > DC Directory Administrator (do not select DC Directory Administration).

  2. Use the Default Profile and click Next.

The user name should be Directory Manager. Choose a password (the default password is ciscocisco). Click Finish to login. Refer to How to Change the DC Directory Password if you want to change the DC Directory Manager password.

  3. Select Directory > > CCN and double-click System Profile.

  4. Choose the CCM Configuration tab and click Modify.

This allows you to change the password and user PIN minimum length value. The value field is grayed out until you click Modify.

  5. Select Start > Programs> Administrative Tools > Services, choose World Wide Web Publishing Service, and click Restart Service to make the new password length be in effect.

Change the password or PIN with the minimum length based on the changes you made in order to verify this procedure. Logon to the Cisco CallManager Administrator page and select a user and change the length of the password. Verify if Cisco CallManager accepts the changes with the minimum password or user PIN length.

You can search for any user from the Cisco CallManager Administration page and modify the password length and user PIN length.
