Bias-Free Language

Q. How do I configure the VCS to work in Call Routed Mode?

A. This depends on the software version on the VCS.

Software version X4.0 or later

The VCS has two options available from the Call routed mode setting (VCS Configuration > Calls):

  • Always: the VCS will always route the call signaling

  • Optimal: if possible, the VCS will remove itself from the call signaling path, which may mean the call does not consume a call licence

The default is Always.

Software version X3.1 or earlier

The VCS will always work in Call Routed Mode, i.e. it will always take the call signaling. This is not a configurable option.
