Q. Can I use a VCS Control as an Alternate or Peer of a VCS Expressway?

A. No. Clustering of Alternates requires all units to have an identical configuration, or the call routing might change when endpoints start using the Alternate. As VCS Controls and VCS Expressways are different products, they cannot have the same configuration and can not be used as Alternates of each other.

A VCS Control can only be part of a cluster of Alternate VCS Controls; a VCS Expressway can only be part of a cluster of Alternate VCS Expressways.
