A. Yes, if a channel (other than the primary channel) is dropped, the call should be renegotiated at a lower bit rate using less BRIs. If the primary channel drops, then the call will fail.
For downspeeding to work:
The endpoint must support it
The call must be a Bonded call
Note: A number of interoperability issues may occur between the Codian ISDN GW and an endpoint while downspeeding. Contact the technical support team to check if the Codian ISDN GW supports downspeeding with your endpoint.
