This article presents how to choose from the VOIP accounts registered on the SPA9000 when making outbound calls.
Registering the SPA9000
Access the SPA9000's web-based setup page. For instructions, click here.
Click on Admin Login and then advanced.
Click Voice then Line 1.
Under Subscriber Information, enter your User ID and Password.
Under Proxy and Registration, enter your proxy settings on the Proxy field.
Click SIP and look for PBX Parameters.
If the IP phones or ATA devices are on the WAN side of the SPA9000, set the Proxy Network Interface to WAN.
If the IP phones or ATA devices are on the LAN side of the SPA9000, you must set the Proxy Network Interface to LAN.
Creating a Call Routing Rule
Click SIP and go to the PBX Parameters section and look for Call Routing Rule. By default this field has a value of (<:L1,2,3,4>9xx.). This call route rule means that when 9 is dialed, the call will be routed to any line that is available on the SPA9000.
Note: Placing of outbound call will start with Line 1. If in case Line 1 is already engaged with a call, the next call will go out to Line 2. The Dial plans on each line tab should be designed as (<9:>xx.). To check the Dial Plan, click the Line 1 tab.
Example of a Call Routing Rule:
Here is an example of a call routing rule and how you are going to have the dial plan of each line tab.
Call routing rule: (<:L1>9xx.|<:L2>8xx.|<:L3>7xx.|<:L4>6xx.). When using extensions and you dial 9, the call will be placed on Line 1; dial 8, the call will be placed on Line 2; dial 7, the call will be placed on Line 3; and dial 6, the call will be placed on Line 4. The following diagram will show how the dial plan should be designed on each Line tab.
