What VLAN configuration documents exist on Cisco.com?

Creating and Maintaining VLANs

Are the switch ports to which the end devices connect in the same VLAN, and how do I assign both ports to the same VLAN?

Use the VLAN Membership page in order to assign ports to VLANs and check the list of VLANs on the switch. Both ports you are trying to connect across must be assigned to the same VLAN.

Are the VLAN or trunk ports configured to pass that VLAN?

The Catalyst 1600 does not support trunking.

How do I assign all non-trunk ports along the link to the same VLAN, and configure them to pass that VLAN?

Use the VLAN Membership page in order to modify your VLAN configuration. For more information, see the Creating and Maintaining VLANs section in the Managing Your Switches document. The Catalyst 1600 does not support trunking.
