How do I determine which version of software is running on my Cisco Web/Email/Management Security Appliance?

Environment: Cisco Email Security Appliance (ESA), Web Security Appliance (WSA), Security Management Appliance (SMA), all versions of AsyncOS.

You might need to determine what version of AsyncOS is running on your Cisco Web/Email/Security Management appliance for a number of reasons including: when you need to determine the system upgrade path and when you are contacting your Cisco authorized support organization.

You can view the version of AsyncOS in the GUI from the System Overview page. The System Overview page is accessed by clicking the System Overview menu item after logging on.

Version information is also available via the version command in the CLI.
