Problem Description

Cisco Unified CallManager version 4.1.3sr5c has a corrupt device load (CP-7940G/CP7960G P00308000700) in the device pack (DEV-Pack 56) that is installed with this version of Cisco Unified CallManager.

Background

A corrupt device load that is installed within the device pack (DEV-PACK 56) in Cisco Unified CallManager service release 4.1.3sr5c prevents the device load upgrade (8.0.7) on the CP-7940G and CP-7960G devices. See the DDTS section for details.

Problem Symptoms

CP-7940G and CP-7960G phones will not upgrade to the latest device load version (8.0.7). IP Phones will experience one of the following symptoms:

  1. The IP Phone will revert back to previous device load.

  2. The IP Phone will continue to recycle (phone display will remain in "Configuring IP" state).

Workaround/Solution

For this issue two possible workarounds exist.

  1. Install the standalone device load (8.0.7). Please use the provided link to download the device load.

  2. Install Cisco Unified CallManager version 4.1.3sr5d. The file can be found using the following link:
