Problem Description

The Cisco Unified IP Phones listed above, display incorrect date and timestamps for the Missed Calls log, the Received Calls log and the Placed Calls log.

This software defect affects Cisco Unified IP Phones with either SIP or SCCP protocols.

Background

Cisco Unified IP Phone Firmware 8.2(2) was released to fix an anomaly with Daylight Savings Time. The 8.2(2) release has a defect that causes incorrect timestamps to be displayed when a user accesses details in the call history menus.

Problem Symptoms

The symptom is that the date and timestamps displayed when accessing details in call history menus are incorrect. Specifically, the call details for the first call in the referenced call log are for the last call on the call log list. Similarly, the call details for the last call in the referenced call log are for the first call on the list.

In other words, the links between the call list and the call details are reversed.

This symptom does not affect the ability to place or receive calls or to perform conferences, transfers or any other call handling. This also does not affect date or time stamps originating from voicemail systems.

Customers may download the software from Cisco IP Phone Firmware (registered customers only) Software Download page.

Select the image appropriate to the Cisco Unified IP Phone model and protocol.
