A PQB file that was saved in an SCAS BB 3.0.3 Console, and includes a Protocol Pack 05 (PP05) Dynamic Signatures Script (DSS) in it, cannot be applied to an SCE with version 3.0.4.
This DSS is being added to the PQB as part of the PP05 installation procedure. The problem is expected with 3.0.3 releases that were upgraded to PP05.
The SCAS BB Console includes a Dynamic Signature Editor, enabling the user to create protocol specific signatures to customize the classification profile to local needs. The Dynamic Signature file (DSS) is imported into the Service Configuration (PQB file), which is applied to the SCE for the updated configuration to become effective.
In this particular case, an internal storage area that had been used in Protocol Pack 05 has been removed from the 3.0.4 protocol libraries. When applying, this value is attempted to be set, which results in an error.
The following error appears during the apply process:
Dynamic Signatures Script execution failed. Script file may be corrupted or contains invalid CLI commands.
Before applying such a PQB on a 3.0.4 SCE, open it in the SCAS BB Console and remove the DSS.
