Field Notice: MeetingPlace Server Activity Outdial to an Unconfigured Port Can Cause the System to Restart

Problem Description

Using the activity command to test outdial, and outdialing to an unconfigured port, can cause the system to restart. A cpserver core file will be generated as a result of this issue.

Problem Symptoms

All attendees will be disconnected from the meeting when the system restarts.

Workaround/Solution

WORKAROUND:

When using the test utility activity to perform an outdial, make sure it is to a port that is configured.

SOLUTION:

Apply the 4.3.1h or 5.1.1f cpserver hot fix. Contact the Cisco Technical Assistance Center to apply the hot fix.
