Problem Description

In a meeting, the recording started and recording stopped prompt plays every time a user joins the meeting. Recording was not started. You will see this warning in the log:

10/16 09:57:31 WARN 0x90071 0/3, "cpmidlevel.cc", 2984 (0x9c, 0x1, 0x1, 0xb)
     ()Prev op was not idle, ptr=9c, port=1, status=1

Problem Symptoms

The meeting gets interrupted with the recording started and recording stopped prompt every time a user joins the meeting.

Workaround/Solution

WORKAROUND:

None

SOLUTION:

A vui and cpserver hot fix is available for 5.0.2ac and 5.1.1e. Contact the Cisco Technical Assistance Center to apply the hot fix.
