MeetingPlace IP Phone

4.2.5.6

Problem Description

Note: This Field Notice is a legacy Latitude Field Notice that has been converted to the Cisco format so the information would remain available to their customers.

MeetingPlace Web 4.2.7.106 installed on the same server with MeetingPlace for Cisco IP Phone 4.2.5.5 is incompatible.

Workaround/Solution

Install MeetingPlace for Cisco IP Phone version 4.2.5.6. This version fixes the incompatibility by removing the dependence on the Cisco SDK's com object installation and using the MeetingPlace com object instead. However, this means that 4.2.5.6 requires MeetingPlace Web to be installed on the same server (unlike previous versions).

To install, unzip the files into the directory where the Cisco MeetingPlace Web software is installed. You can check the location in the registry by looking at the InstallLocation key located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Latitude\MeetingPlace WebPublisher\General. This installation is a full install and contains only scripts and templates.

This version fixes the following bugs:

  • CR20174 - Cannot schedule against MPWeb 4.2.7.106

  • CR18055 - Cannot use < and > in meeting names

  • CR17888 - Cannot have space in username

  • CR16727 - Cannot schedule meetings with WebConnect

  • CR16362 - Cisco SDK installer errors

Note:?This version is compatible with MeetingPlace Web 4.2.5 and newer versions, as long as it is installed on the same server. It is a recommended upgrade for all installations of MeetingPlace for Cisco IP Phone.
