BBSM: No More Billing after Upgrade from 5.1 to 5.2

Problem Description

Billing is not present after a BBSM 5.1 to 5.2 upgrade. Also, the property management system (PMS) is not working in version 5.2.

Background

The problem is that the field Time_of Last_configure does not get updated correctly as part of the upgrade which results in a NULL value in the field. Based on this, the code sees that the port was never configured and assumes that billing cannot be charged to this port because of the lack of configuration.

Workaround/Solution

The workaround for this issue is to place a value in the Time_of Last_configure field. To do this from the BBSM console, open a command prompt and follow the steps below.

C:> OSQL -d atdial -E
1> update port_map
2> set time_of_last_configure = '2003-03-24 0:01:00.000'
3> go

You should see a display of the number of records updated.

4> exit
