Due to a bug in Java Plug-In 1.3.0, when certain signed certificates used to communicate between the client browser and various CiscoWorks server components (contained in CD One, 4th Edition) expire on January 6, 2002, some CiscoWorks functions will fail when run from a browser.

Problem Symptoms

Examples of CiscoWorks functions that will fail after the certificates expire are Telnet, Save, Save As, and Print.

It is mandatory that all customers running CD One, 4th edition download and install the patch containing the Java Plug-In 1.3.1 before January 6, 2002.

The patch is now available for download at (registered customers only) .

For RWAN 1.1 and LMS 1.1/2.0 customers only that are using nGenius Real-Time Monitor (RTM) 1.2, please order the RTM 1.3 Update Kit. The update kit (CWRTM-1.3-UPT) includes RTM 1.3 and the CD One, 4th Edition Java patches. RTM 1.2 is not compatible with these patch updates and will not be supported by Cisco TAC.
