Settings made in the Aironet Client Utility (ACU) will not be saved once the PC is restarted. This issue is seen with all versions of the ACU prior to version 4.11.010, Cisco Aironet AIR-PCI340 series client adapters (boot block version 1.43) installed in Windows 2000.
The ACU was not designed to work with PCI cards with boot block version 1.43. However, this boot block code was released to manufacturing and is now shipping in all PCI cards.
The ACU needs to be modified to accommodate PCI cards that have either version 1.43 or 1.44 boot block code. The version of boot block code is displayed in the ACU under the Statistics menu.
Settings will not be saved once the PC has restarted.
Only settings available in Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Network -> Client Adapter properties can be saved.
